Milan, September 17, 2024
The 2024 Training Fair, sponsored by ICF, Asfor, and Aifos and promoted by HR Lin, is a key opportunity for heads of human resources, training and development, and Academies, as well as industry experts, to discuss key topics such as AI, reskilling, and skill shortages. The meetings will feature numerous keynote speakers: prominent figures in the institutional and corporate world, ready to share their experiences.
What’s New in the 2024 Edition
The 2024 edition will focus on crucial topics such as skills, skill shortages, upskilling and reskilling, the impact of artificial intelligence, labor policies, work culture, and the evolving role of training leaders. These topics will be addressed through a series of workshops, labs, and roundtables featuring industry experts.
The conferences will offer an overview of the latest trends and innovations, adapting them to the needs of different business organizations, highlighting how adopting a thoughtful approach to human capital development is a strategic key to business success.
The talent talks will allow participants to present their business cases and share them in a collaborative and interactive setting. The labs will allow participants to experiment and directly test how to implement and use innovative training tools, as well as appreciate the excellence of established tools.
The Topics
The first day will open with institutional representatives who will provide a strategic vision of the country’s human capital development and the current and future challenges for companies.
This first session will explore the dimensions of the ongoing transformation, the opportunities, and the challenges for companies in a context where planning the necessary skills requires extraordinary planning skills and increased dialogue with institutions and training providers.
The second day will focus on the local community and its dialogue with companies, addressing the issues of career guidance, funding, and new obligations.
The focus will be on concrete examples of how collaboration with local communities can generate skills, along with career guidance institutions and companies. This will highlight how the concept of “networking” can be a solution for companies for whom an in-house Academy is a luxury, yet still need to address staffing and skills needs.
The topics of leadership, teams, and the emerging skills that companies must acquire to be effective and competitive will be addressed. In addition, the presentations will highlight some specific aspects of the new dimensions of transformation and how companies are increasingly focused on building meaning not only for themselves but for their communities, whether internal or external, for their local area or for an entire sector.
It will be emphasized that, on the one hand, work organization cannot be separated from a vision of the group rather than the individual, where the “hero leader” gives way to the group’s ability to generate value for the company and society, and how meaningful professional experiences are necessary for those who participate. On the other hand, companies operate in interconnected contexts subject to sudden changes on various levels, from technological to geopolitical or environmental phenomena, so the preparation of business leaders must allow them to base their decisions on an appropriate perspective.
The Workshops
The workshop topics demonstrate an increasingly strong interconnection between disciplines, aimed at developing innovative or renewed skills by HR departments.
The event will focus on psychological knowledge in cybersecurity (Security Mind), AI-based simulators that train feedback (Skilla), serious games that train specific skills (Evolution Mind), how to create authentic connections through listening and systemic awareness to understand organizations and teams (Asterys Lab), how knowledge transfer and instructional design are competitive levers for companies (iSpring), neuroscience and experiential learning for radical engagement (Mpec), and how new topics for developing connected and aware management are entering the HR radar (Limes). The event will also feature
Talent Talks
In the talent talks, led by Radical HR, we will speak directly with those who manage people and are responsible for building value systems for skills development, for impacting employability, and for fostering a sustainable development approach. Human resources and training leaders will therefore be asked the challenging question of what the new strategic dimension of training is.
Why HR Should Invest in EduTech/HRTech
There will be a special focus on EdTech, with two panels dedicated to investments and innovations in this field, and a presentation, hosted by Ecosistema Formazione Italia, featuring eight startups in the sector presenting their projects.
The EdTech 2024 Report will also be presented, along with an in-depth overview of emerging technologies and best practices transforming learning and skills development. From a make-or-buy perspective, there will also be a discussion on how and why HR should invest in a training startup.
The event will be hosted by presenters and employment experts Gioia and Guenda Novena.
