Oikos Mediterraneo and the Pontificia Università Antonianum have awarded Prof. Laura Mazza the prestigious title of “Assistant at the Oikos Mediterraneo Research Table.”

The project, combining education and social commitment, aims to strengthen indigenous knowledge systems and the key role of women in the Mediterranean as interconnected for harmonious, integral, and sustainable development.

ROME, AUGUST 19, 2024 – Social and environmental commitment, a key role in implementing projects aimed at fostering international dialogue and integration, as well as experience in education and active policies, give her a professionalism unmatched in the national landscape: these are the prerogatives that pave the way for Professor Laura Mazza to take on new roles that will enrich her already rich career with prestigious commitments.

And it is in this spirit that the Oikos Mediterraneo association, together with the Pontifical Antonianum University, in light of an agreement aimed at intensifying processes for the expansion of integral legal subjectivity for the creation of a sustainable future in the Mediterranean basin, have appointed Professor Laura Mazza as “Assistant to the Oikos Mediterraneo Research Table.”

Here, in particular, Laura Mazza’s wealth of experience plays a key role. She can and must contribute to strengthening, as stated in the official nomination document, “indigenous knowledge systems and the key role of women in the Mediterranean, as interconnected for harmonious, integral, and sustainable development.”

Professor Laura Mazza, former President of Federformazione, is also Director General of the International University Research Centre Education, Innovation, Diplomacy, and represents the Republic of Congo for Institutional Relations in Italy and eleven European countries under the Mattei Plan. She also serves as Secretary of the Mediterranean Parliament, a member of the EURISPES Scientific Committee, and was selected among Forbes Italia’s 100 Top Women Leaders 2024.
